Nakashima uses natural mineral pigments to create profoundly mysterious paintings reflective of inner land- scapes. The intersection of
conscious and unconscious in her works calls to mind ancient narratives
that are hidden within our memories. She is a 2017 graduate of the Depart- ment of Japanese Painting at Musashino Art University.
