日本のフォーヴィズムを代表する画家である里見勝蔵 (1895-1981)。大正から昭和の美術界において大きな足跡を残した画家の作品は今なお色褪せることはありません。今展では里見芸術の一端をご紹介いたします。
Katsuzo Satomi (1895-1981) was one of Japan's most prominent fauvist painters. Even now, the influence left by himself and other painters of the Taisho (1912 - 1926) and Showa (1926-1989) periods remains strong. This exhibition will present a slice of Satomi's overall oeuvre.
